Youverse, former YooniK, announces the release of YouFace v3, a new and improved face biometric matching model that brings enhanced security and reliability to user authentication and identity verification solutions. The company's commitment to continuous research and development has resulted in a cutting-edge face authentication API that is versatile, reliable, and efficient.

With the new version of YouFace, customers can benefit from a host of features, including a new face detection algorithm that can handle faces in any orientation, an extended list of face quality metadata attributes for verification of ISO 19794-5 compliance face images, and a major leap in performance, making it suitable for any application scenario.

The company has also submitted a new NIST evaluation with major improvements and achieved a 20x decrease in error rates in Know Your Customer scenarios, ensuring that for a 1 in 1M false acceptance, only 0.4% of the users are rejected on the first try. Similarly, a 30x decrease in error rates was achieved in the cooperative live vs. live scenario, enabling false rejection of 0.7% valid attempts for 1 in 1M false acceptance.

Furthermore, with YouFace v3, mobile authentication can be performed fully offline (without an internet connection). This ensures user security and ownership, with all processing performed locally on the device. Solutions are available for both iOS and Android platforms.
